Playwriting Background
Hannah was inspired to start playwriting after interning at the Cape Cod Theater Project in 2023 and spending the summer immersed in new play development. Her first play, prom night, was a 2024 Yale Playwrights Festival selection, and received a staged reading and developmental mentorship from Amy Boratko (Yale Rep) and Pulitzer finalist Sarah DeLappe (The Wolves, A24's Bodies Bodies Bodies). The year after, she received one of Yale's Creative and Performing Arts Awards to produce a fully staged production with friends.
Since then, she had studied playwriting under Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (Purpose, Appropriate, Gloria, Everybody) through the Yale Creative Writing Concentration. She is currently writing her second play.
